WWE Announces Triple H Appearance On April 7th Smackdown
There will be a Triple H appearance on WWE Friday Night Smackdown just days after appearing on Monday Night Raw.
The first episode of WWE Smackdown post-WrestleMania 39 is set to take place on April 7th from the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. A few things have been announced so far.
It was announced by WWE on their website and social media that WWE’s Chief Content Paul “Triple H” Levesque will be making an appearance to talk to the crowd.
“WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H ignited the Los Angeles crowd to kick off the Raw After WrestleMania and will return this week on Friday Night SmackDown.
Coming off the most successful WrestleMania in history, the message from The Game was simple – “We’re not going anywhere.”
Don’t miss the appearance from Triple H this Friday at 8/7 C on FOX!”
This past Monday, there were reports that Vince McMahon had his fingerprints all over Monday’s Raw. Since Vince “retired” in July 2022, Triple H took over as WWE’s main booker in charge of the creative process on Raw, Smackdown and WWE Premium Live Events.
Following his return to WWE to start 2023, Vince hasn’t been involved creatively in a big way until this past Monday on Raw when he apparently was changing things on the fly. A lot of fans didn’t like this Monday’s Raw while #FireVince and #FireVinceMcMahon are constantly being used on Twitter.
While it’s possible that Hunter could fan the flames about the creative direction of the company, it’s not known what he might talk about.
In addition to Triple H’s appearance on Smackdown, WWE is also promoting two tag team matches:
* Rey Mysterio & Santos Escobar vs. Dominik Mysterio & Damian Priest.
* Imperium – GUNTHER, Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci vs. Brawling Brutes – Sheamus, Butch & Ridge Holland.
* Sami Zayn vs. Jey Uso.
There should be more matches announced on WWE’s social media channels and website as well.
