WWE Tournament Officially Announced To Crown New Champion

WWE has officially confirmed a new tournament to crown a champion after one titleholder was forced to give up their gold.

Seth Rollins was stripped of the World Heavyweight Championship due to injury recently one week after he was shockingly betrayed by The Vision. Rollins was believed to have hurt his shoulder during his Crown Jewel match with Cody Rhodes, and it remains to be seen how long he’ll be out of action for.

Now, another champion has suffered a similar fate in WWE. Sol Ruca was unable to defend her NXT Women’s North American Championship at Halloween Havoc, and instead, her partner Zaria defended the gold for her against Blake Monroe. The Glamour came out on top, winning her first WWE title.

WWE Speed Title Tournament Announced

On the October 28th edition of NXT, Sol Ruca was faced with another tough choice when it came to her WWE Speed Championship. NXT General Manager Ava gave Ruca the choice to have someone defend that gold for her or to relinquish it.

Ruca decided to vacate the belt, causing Zaria to storm off. Ava then confirmed that a tournament to crown a new champion would begin on the November 4th edition of NXT.

Questions have been asked about the extent of Sol Ruca’s injury as she is still intent on being cleared to compete at NXT Deadline, which takes place on December 6th.
