WWE Title Match Ends In Heartbreak For Scottish Star

WWE invaded Scotland for Clash at the Castle but for one star looking to claim gold in their home country, things ended in heartbreak.

On SmackDown in Albany, NY Nia Jax had her coronation after becoming Queen of the Ring in Saudi Arabia. Jax was very aware that due to her big win, she’d now challenge for the WWE Women’s Championship at SummerSlam and her first royal command was that the current champion Bayley make her way to the ring.

Bayley began her entrance but she was quickly attacked from behind by Piper Niven and Chelsea Green. The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions confronted Jax and told her that by the time she gets her title shot, it won’t be Bayley that she has to worry about.

After Niven and Green defeated Bayley and Naomi later in the show it was confirmed that Piper Niven would face Bayley for the WWE Women’s Title at Clash at the Castle.

WWE Women’s Title Stays With Bayley

In the WWE Women’s Title match at Clash at the Castle, Piper Niven was joined by her friend Chelsea Green. However, Green wasn’t a factor in the match because Bayley stomped on her hands and Green complained to referee Charles Robinson about it while also grabbing Robinson’s shirt. Green was ejected for that. Later in the match, Green returned with a purple mask on her head and Bayley beat her up.

Niven came close to winning with a Michinoku Driver that spiked Bayley on her head, but it was only good for a two count. Bayley made the comeback and did a Crucifix Driver for the pinfall win to keep her title.

After the match, Bayley was in the aisle with the Women’s Title and nodded at Niven as a sign of respect.
