Top WWE Star Still Wants The Undertaker Dream Match Despite Retirement
The Undertaker’s last match occurred at WWE WrestleMania 36 on April 4, 2020. He defeated AJ Styles in a cinematic Boneyard Match filmed in Florida.
Taker has made it very clear that he doesn’t intend to return to the ring. But WWE star Damian Priest still hopes to have a match with him.
On the new episode of Prince St. Pizza, Priest was asked to share his dream match, and he replied that he wants to face The Undertaker.
The easy answer is always like you could pick anybody, and it’s always Undertaker, man.
That was who you should remember from back then. But no, uh, that guy was the reason why I fell in love with wrestling.
It was his persona, the aura, and everything. So if I had to pick somebody, he’s always the easy answer, man.
Like, it would be cool to just be in the ring and watch his entrance, to be honest.
WWE Put Damian Priest In A Reduced Work Schedule
In the same episode, Priest also revealed that WWE has put him on a lighter work schedule because he’s been dealing with some physical complications.
The Stamford-based company wants him to take things slow for a while.
It’s unfortunate, and I don’t like to bring it up too much, and I don’t take breaks. Since I’ve been in WWE, I’ve literally taken zero days off.
I’ve never asked for time off because I’ve been hurting. The company now, this year, decided like, ‘Let’s take it easy on him,’ because I’ve been going hard for a while.
Tore my shoulders a couple of times within the last year and a half. My knees are banged up. My back is ooph. I need a lot of work done.
But I choose to not, because if I don’t have to, I won’t. I’ll just figure it out, let’s do rehab and just keep me in the game, coach, that kind of thing.
So we’ve been doing that for a while, but this year I think the company was like, ‘Okay, we’re happy with you, but we need to make sure you’re going to last here.’
So they’ve been forcing me to take it easy, put it that way. Not the easiest thing to do when you want to just go out there and perform because you love what you do. H/T Cultaholic.com
