WWE Teasing Reunion Of Popular AEW Tag Team
One WWE star has teased for the first time that a reunion of a popular AEW tag team could be on he cards in the company.
In recent weeks, Penta has been embroiled in an ongoing feud with The New Day and Grayson Waller on Raw. The Mexican star was accused of injuring Xavier Woods’ neck in a match one week before Kofi Kingston was able to pick up a victory over the former AEW star.
But could back-up be on the way for Penta ahead of Raw?
WWE Reuniting AEW’s Lucha Bros?
Taking to social media, Xavier Woods sent a strong message to Penta ahead of Raw in Paris, where he seemed to tease that Penta might need to turn to his brother Rey Fenix for help in his ongoing feud with The New Day:
I’m currently walking around these desolate city streets of Paris, France, because I’m on very important business. I just met with the greatest hat maker that this country has to offer, and please believe that if this were the Hunger Games, she would be fashion designer number one. Meaning that I’ve got nothing but heat in this bag, heat that you will not see until the time is right.
And I know what you’re thinking, you’re thinking, ‘But Woods, isn’t your neck injured, isn’t your neck damaged, where is your neck brace?’ I just got a call from my doctor giving me the news that for two hours a day, for a glorious 120 minutes a day, I don’t have to wear that neck brace because I get to begin that physical therapy process.
I have to have it off for two hours a day to begin my rehabilitation, and you know who’s gonna need rehabilitation, you know who’s gonna need physical therapy very soon? That’s you, Penta.
That’s you, because I don’t know what you’re doing tomorrow night on Monday Night Raw live on Netflix coming from Paris, France, but I do know that tomorrow night you’re gonna have three men looking for you – myself, Kofi Kingston and Grayson Waller. And in the words of the great Cardi B, we’re looking to have a verbal altercation with you, if you will.
So if I were you, I would do everything that I could tonight to grow eyes in the back of my head so I can see people coming. But even if you could do that, you don’t have eye holes on the back of your mask anyway.
So there’s no help for you, Penta. Because if memory serves me correctly, you ain’t been here long enough to make any friends, and you’re little Lucha Bro bro, he’s over on SmackDown, so you’re all by yourself. That means we’ll see you tomorrow.
So when you get ready to go to bed and you kneel by the bedside, cross your fingers together, look up at the sky, I want you to do something Penta. I want you to thank God for the New Day.

The Lucha Bros were original members of the AEW roster, joining Tony Khan’s company in 2019. Together, they held the AEW Tag Team Championship for 122 days, and they also held the AEW Trios Title with Pac as Death Triangle.
Penta joined WWE in early 2025, making his debut in the company in January. Plans to bring the Lucha Bros in as a tag team had to be put on ice as AEW added time missed due to injury to Rey Fenix’s contract. That meant the former AEW International Champion did not debut in WWE until April 2025.
