WWE Talks Underway Regarding Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre

WWE is working on getting Drew McIntyre back in the mix.

At Bad Blood, Drew McIntyre went to war with CM Punk inside Hell in a Cell. The match was widely praised by fans and critics who gushed over the old-school blood-soaked affair.

Both men bled heavily, with McIntyre in particular suffering a nasty cut on his head. After the event, it was revealed the Scottish star needed 16 staples to close the wound caused by a shot with a toolbox.

While he needed time off to recover from the injury, a further report noted Drew McIntyre was back in Europe attending to family matters. However, it seems his hiatus will soon be coming to an end.

WWE Making Plans For Drew McIntyre

According to a new report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, “creative discussions” have started regarding McIntyre’s return. Nothing has been set in stone, but there have been pitches and conversations about how he’ll come back and his creative direction.

Meanwhile, CM Punk made his return to WWE TV on the November 22nd edition of SmackDown. On the show, Punk was introduced by Paul Heyman who was making his own return, and first appearance since June.

Punk will now team with Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn, and The Usos inside WarGames at Survivor Series against Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Bronson Reed.

It’s been reported that The OG Bloodline will remain together following the event, but CM Punk will depart the group.
