WWE Talent Returns For The First Time In 9 Months On SmackDown
Following the WWE Draft, the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions made their debut on SmackDown with one of their opponents making a comeback to the ring for the first time in nine months.
Scottish duo Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn brought the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship with them when they made their debut on SmackDown picking up a quick win. Their opponents on the show might have been mistaken for local enhancement talent but they were in fact NXT competitors Valentina Feroz and Yulisa Leon.
It was a big night for Yulisa Leon as she suffered a knee injury in August 2022 and this marked her return to the ring for the first time in nine months. Prior to her injury, Yulisa Leon and Valentina Feroz had been a regular tag team and it seems they might continue their partnership now that Leon is back.
SmackDown also saw other ex-developmental stars make their main roster debut as former NXT Tag Team Champions Pretty Deadly competed in their first bout on the blue brand, picking up a big win in an all-English affair over the Brawling Brutes duo of Ridge Holland and Butch.
The 26th of May edition of SmackDown was also taped after Friday’s live show, with the full spoilers for that show available here.
