WWE Talent Blasts Hulk Hogan Tributes

WWE Raw Hulk Hogan tribute

WWE and the wrestling world have been paying tribute to the late Hulk Hogan, but now one talent has spoken out about it.

WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan passed away aged 71 on July 24th following a cardiac arrest at his Clearwater, Florida home. Collegues and fans of Hogan have paid tribute to the star, with many noting his importance in wrestling history, especially in North America.

But as Cody Rhodes and Tony Schiavone both acknowledged on WWE and AEW TV, respectively, Hulk Hogan’s legacy is a complicated one. Hogan was caught using extremely racist language in a recording that broke publicly exactly a decade before his death. Many felt Hulk Hogan never apologised appropriately for his actions or showed any remorse. That was among the reasons Hogan was booed out of the building in what turned out to be his final WWE appearance at the start of 2025.

As such, the tributes haven’t been to everyone’s tastes. Now, one WWE talent has laid their cards on the table when it comes to Hogan.

WWE Talent Unhappy With Hulk Hogan Tributes

Jamr Hampton, who featured on season one of WWE LFG and has been seen on EVOLVE, took to social media to take issue with the Hogan tributes, writing, “Is this really who we should be celebrating? Do ya research.” Hampton then linked to a YouTube video which featured a transcript of Hogan’s racist tirade, where he admitted to being “a racist, to a point.”

Hampton’s post has since been deleted, but WWE held another tribute to Hulk Hogan at the beginning of NXT, marking a third ten-bell salute for The Hulkster in the company since his death.
