WWE Talent “Intentionally Avoided” Vince McMahon At Raw

Vince McMahon was backstage at Raw in Boston, but it seems like not everybody on the WWE roster was thrilled that the Executive Chairman was making his presence felt.

With Raw taking place in Boston, MA, John Cena was on the show setting up his own huge WrestleMania match but it was the going on behind the scenes that made the headlines before the show.

Vince McMahon was backstage and while it was suggested that he was there simply to visit Cena, there could be more to it than that. Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that while Triple H was still in charge, he believes McMahon is more involved than WWE is revealing:

“He was in Gorilla all night, so what does that tell you? He wasn’t barking orders at people or anything like that, but he was in Gorilla all night and I was told – they tell you he’s only there to visit John Cena, that’s the story, but there’s more to it than that.

“[…] He’s doing more than they’re letting on, but the person who was in control was Levesque (Triple H). It’s not like he was there in charge and doing stuff, but it’s not like he was just visiting John Cena and saying hi to a few people and then left. That didn’t happen either. The truth is a little bit in the middle.”

Now Fightful Select has given more information on McMahon’s presence at Raw and interestingly noted that he was “not shy about saying hello and greeting talent” although it was noted that he was not providing feedback or instructions to anyone.

One WWE talent is said to have noted that the “big tell” will be if McMahon is backstage at SmackDown as to what the future holds while several WWE stars said they “intentionally avoided associating” with McMahon despite the belief that they will have to in the future.
