WWE Tag Team Title Match Confirmed For Raw
Damian Priest and Finn Balor face a monumental challenge when Raw heads to Washington D.C. as they put the WWE Tag Team Championship on the line.
It was not a good night for Damian Priest at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. Not only did Sami Zayn thwart his Money In The Bank cash-in attempt before stealing his briefcase, but Priest also lost to Cody Rhodes on the show.
Priest sought to gain some revenge on Raw in Wilkes-Barre, PA after Sami Zayn challenged Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship. Rollins won the match but any celebration was cut short as The Judgment Day and JD McDonagh attacked.
Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes soon joined the fray to even up the sides and Raw General Manager Adam Pearce declared that WarGames would take place at WWE Survivor Series pitting the eight stars against each other.
Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso Get Another Shot At WWE Tag Team Gold
However, Priest and Finn Balor may not make it to Survivor Series as WWE Tag Team Champions as a huge match was made for the 13th of November edition of Raw. On that show the champions will put their title on the line against Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso.
Priest and Balor originally won the WWE Tag Team Championship from Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens at Payback before The Judgment Day pair lost the gold to Rhodes and Uso at Fastlane. Jimmy Uso cost his brother and Rhodes the title on the 16th of October edition of Raw as Priest and Balor reclaimed the gold.
A win for The American Nightmare and Uso would see Cody Rhodes become an eight-time tag team champion in WWE while Main Event Jey Uso could become a tag team champion in the company for an eleventh time.
