WWE Tag Team Tease Split

It seems one WWE tag team could be on their way to splitting up after there seemed to be trouble in paradise on SmackDown.

At WrestleMania 40, WWE split the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship in a huge ladder match that saw Raw and SmackDown have its own tag champions once again. The Miz and R-Truth claimed what is now known as the World Tag Team Championship while Grayson Waller and Austing Theory became WWE Tag Team Champions.

On SmackDown in Albany, NY, Austin Theory went one-on-one with DIY’s Tommaso Ciampa while Grayson Waller and Johnny Gargano watched on from their respective corners. Grayson Waller could not help but let his mouth run away with itself at one point during the bout as he became enraged with commentator Wade Barrett, telling Barrett that it was Waller who made Theory relevant again. However, Theory heard that comment and was clearly not happy.

The brief distraction was enough to allow Ciampa to pick up the win over the former WWE United States Champion. After the bout, there seemed to be continued arguing between A-Town Down Under.

Grayson Waller Left Austin Theory To The Mercy Of 2 WWE Stars

Issues between Waller and Theory can be traced back to Elimination Chamber in Perth, Australia – Waller’s home country. Waller hosted The Grayson Waller Effect alongside Austin Theory on that show with Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins as the guests.

After Theory began taunting Rhodes and Rollins, they ended up taking him out while Grayson Waller simply watched on.
