WWE Tag Team Challenging For Japanese Gold
One WWE tag team is venturing to Japan, where they are now getting a shot at championship gold.
WWE’s partnership with TNA has been widely publicised throughout 2025, with the pinnacle of that agreement coming when Joe Hendry appeared as TNA World Champion in a match with Randy Orton at WrestleMania.
However, the sports entertainment giant has learned to play well with others across the globe and currently has something of a working agreement with Pro Wrestling NOAH. That has seen NXT stars Hank Walker and Tank Ledger make their debut for the Japanese promotion at Sunny Voyage on October 26th, where they defeated Alpha Wolf and Dragon Bane.

Now, Pro Wrestling NOAH has revealed that Hank and Tank will challenge the 72nd GHC Tag Team Champions for that title on the 8th of November in Korakuen Hall.

Hank and Tank are former NXT Tag Team Champions, losing that title at Heatwave to DarkState. They have also held gold outside the confines of WWE already, as in late 2024, they captured the Reality of Wrestling Tag Team Championship.
If Hank and Tank win the gold, they will not be the first WWE-contracted stars to do so. In early 2025, the gigantic Omos won the GHC Tag Team Championship with Scottish star Jack Morris as part of Team 2000X.
