Emanating live from Petco Park in San Diego, California, the latest edition of WWE Survivor Series set the tone for an exciting night of action after an extremely entertaining opening match.

The PLE only has four matches on paper, but each of these four matches has the calibre to be the best match of the night. The night kicked off with the Women’s WarGames match, which pitted multiple of the division’s top stars against each other.

After tensions increased between The Kabuki Warriors and IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley, both duos added three members to their team for tonight’s match. Nia Jax, Lash Legend, and Becky Lynch joined the Kabuki Warriors, while Ripley and Iyo were joined by AJ Lee, Charlotte Flair, and Alexa Bliss.

The two women who competed in the advantage match for their side on last night’s SmackDown, Charlotte and Asuka, began the proceedings inside the cage as well. Asuka made good use of her time alone with Flair as she issued a beatdown on her before The Queen was joined in the ring by IYO SKY.

Rhea Ripley’s team emerged victorious after a brutal match at WWE Survivor Series

She entered the ring with a dustbin lid and immediately went after the Empress as Flair recovered. IYO SKY completely incapacitated Asuka for the three minutes the Empress was alone in the ring. She was then joined by Becky Lynch, who brought a kendo stick with her and immediately went after the former Women’s World Champion.

Lynch and Asuka then worked with each other well enough to keep the faces at bay, but were quickly outnumbered again as Alexa Bliss made her way to the ring. She single-handedly saved her team from Lynch and Asuka’s beatdown before combining with her tag team partner to take control of the match.

It was then time for another tag team partner to enter as Kairi Sane joined Asuka and Lynch in the cage and introduced a steel chain in the match. The heels were on top after Sane’s introduction, but were quickly brought back to ground after AJ Lee’s music hit.

Becky held on the door to prevent her from entering, but AJ climbed the top of the cage to enter her first WarGames match with a dive from the top rope on the Kabuki Warriors. She immediately went after Lynch and put her to the grind, before Nia Jax entered to restore balance.

The match officially began after both Rhea Ripley, who brought a horde of weapons along with her, and Lash Legend made their entry into the cage. Lash looked extremely impressive in her main roster debut tonight as she took out more than half the other team within minutes of entering the match.

The heels were dominating the match before it turned on its head as Flair saved Ripley from getting misted and Asuka spat the mist in Lash Legend’s face. IYO SKY took out the entire team except Becky with a Swanton Bomb from the top of the cage while putting the dustbin over her body.

This left Becky alone in the ring, allowing Rhea to hit her with a Riptide, and AJ Lee followed that up with the Black Widow to submit Lynch and earn the win for her team.
