WWE Survivor Series Casts A Long Shadow In Canada
No WarGames matches have taken place in Canada and Survivor Series has only been held in the country on two occasions before.
The last time WWE took Survivor Series over the northern border was to Toronto, Ontario with that show featuring Goldberg making his long-awaited return to the company and shocking Brock Lesnar in the main event.
The first Canadian Survivor Series needs no introduction and Bret Hart certainly knows all about it as it took place in Montreal, Quebec in 1997. Bret Hart put his WWE Title on the line against Shawn Michaels on that night in a main event cut short by Vince McMahon calling for the bell and changing the landscape of pro wrestling history in the process.
