WWE May Have Surprising Plan For Roman Reigns’ Return
The WWE King of the Ring Tournament got underway on the recent Raw episode.
In the first match, Sami Zayn, Dominik Mysterio, Penta, and Bron Breakker competed to qualify for the semi-finals spot.
During the clash, Breakker dominated throughout before getting taken out by an LA Knight interference. Zayn would capitalize on it and hit Mysterio with a Helluva Kick for the 1-2-3.
On next week’s Raw, it will be Sheamus, Rusev, Bronson Reed, and a mystery star, who will soon be named by manager Adam Pearce, fighting to inscribe their name in the semi-finals.
One of the topics discussed on the latest The Last Word podcast was the mystery wrestler.
Among the top guesses were Karrion Kross, Joe Hendry, and Omos until former WWE employee Tommy Carlucci mentioned Roman Reigns.
Here’s the thing; what if it’s Roman (Reigns) and he goes on to be the King and that starts his new reign as what he’s gonna be because we have no idea where he is, what he’s doing.
He would be a great surprise. The roof will blow off when his entrance music comes out because we haven’t seen him since WrestleMania, I don’t think, right? And it would be phenomenal. So, it could be Roman Reigns. [From 38:40]
Roman Reigns Might Return With Backup
Roman Reigns last appeared on Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania 41.
During a confrontation, he was taken out by Bron Breakker, who had formed an alliance with Seth Rollins.
That attack might prompt Reigns to return with backup and challenge Seth Rollins’s faction sometime in the near future.
While missing stars like Cody Rhodes have returned to action, Reigns is yet to make a statement, and what better platform than the King of the Ring tournament?
