Injured WWE Superstar Looking To Return In Eight Months
An injured WWE star already has a new rival in their sights.
On the May 19 edition of Monday Night Raw, Zoey Stark looked to qualify for the women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match. However, her night ended in disaster.
While attempting to land a missile dropkick, Stark landed awkwardly and immediately screamed in pain. The star was quickly attended to by medical staff and taken backstage.
In the weeks after suffering the injury, Stark revealed that she was dealing with a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus, and that surgery to repair the damage had taken three and a half hours instead of the scheduled two.
In a new post on social media, SmackDown writer Road Dogg said he would love to see Asuka wrestle a fully fit Stark in a 25-minute bout. In response, the injured star said she’d love to make the match a reality in around eight months.
Hell yea, let’s do it!! Let’s say in about 8 months? 😜
Asuka only made her own return from knee surgery on June 16 after missing 13 months of action. As she made her comeback, the star made it to the finals of the Queen of the Ring tournament before being beaten by Jade Cargill at Night of Champions.
WWE Bitten By Injury Bug
In the weeks after the accident suffered by Stark on Raw, the injury news for WWE continued to go from bad to worse. A month later, Liv Morgan was also injured during a match on Raw while taking a routine bump as she clashed with Kairi Sane.
Morgan has since undergone surgery and will miss around six months of action, and as a result, multiple matches across Evolution and SummerSlam have been scrapped. Her partner in crime, Dominik Mysterio, also suffered a rib injury, meaning an announced match against AJ Styles at Night of Champions had to be dropped.
Meanwhile, Chad Gable has also undergone shoulder surgery, and he’s also expected to miss an extended period.
