WWE SummerSlam News: Kickoff Show Will Have Three Matches
It was announced moments ago that the Kickoff Show at WWE SummerSlam will have three matches on it. The Kickoff Show begins at 5pmET/2pmPT (about one hour from when this post is going up) and it is available on WWE Network, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and Twitch. The main SummerSlam show starts at 7pmET/4pmPT on WWE Network.
The three matches on the Kickoff Show via WWE.com are:
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships: Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross (c) vs. The IIconics (Peyton Royce and Billie Kay) – The preview does not say it is officially a title match, but it might be.
WWE Cruiserweight Championship: Drew Gulak (c) vs. Oney Lorcan
Buddy Murphy vs. Apollo Crews
It was previously announced that Bliss and Cross will also defend their titles on Raw against Asuka and Kairi Sane as well. Gulak vs. Lorcan is the only one of those three matches that was advertised for SummerSlam.

With the Cruiserweight Title match on the Kickoff Show, that means the main SummerSlam card will have these nine singles matches.
Universal Championship: Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Seth Rollins
WWE Championship: Kofi Kingston (c) vs. Randy Orton
Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens (If Owens loses, he quits)
United States Championship: AJ Styles (c) vs. Ricochet
Raw Women’s Championship Submission Match: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Natalya
Charlotte Flair vs. Trish Stratus
Bill Goldberg vs. Dolph Ziggler
Finn Balor vs. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt
Smackdown Women’s Championship: Bayley (c) vs. Ember Moon
I will have a live review of WWE SummerSlam tonight on TJRWrestling although normally I don’t watch the Kickoff Show matches live. I will probably get to those after the show is over.
