WWE Fans Stunned As Stephanie Vaquer Loses NXT Title
Stephanie Vaquer escaped Battleground with her NXT Women’s Championship, but just a few short days later, her reign has crashed to an end.
At Battleground, Stephanie Vaquer defeated Jordynne Grace to retain her NXT Women’s Title, but her next challenger did not take long to make themselves known. Fatal Influence’s Jacy Jayne slapped Vaquer backstage at Battleground, which set up a title match between the pair on the May 27th edition of NXT.
During that show, Jazmyn Nyx was back with Fallon Henley and Jacy Jayne, putting Fatal Influence back to their full complement. However, there were still issues in the group with Henley arguing she should have had the title shot since Vaquer had defeated Jayne the last time they met.
But all that tension was just a ruse.
Fatal Influence Proves Deadly To Stephanie Vaquer
Stephanie Vaquer thought she was on her way to victory but as she got too close to the ropes, Fallon Henley delivered a vicious kick while Jazmyn Nyz distracted the referee. Henley sent Vaquer back into the ring where Jayne was waiting with a discus punch to pin Vaquer and win the NXT Women’s Championship to the shock of everyone. Ring announcer Mike Rome was so stunned that he even had to be prompted to announce Jacy Jayne as the winner and new champion.
SHOCKED. STUNNED. SPEECHLESS.
