WWE Adding Stipulation To Huge CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre Rematch

CM Punk fighting Drew McIntyre

The battle between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre continues.

Although CM Punk and Drew McIntyre battled at SummerSlam, their rivalry is far from over. The pair have continued to clash on television, and although there’s yet to be an official announcement, they are heading for a violent rematch.

According to a new report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, McIntyre and Punk will meet in a Strap Match at Bash In Berlin. The event is set to be headlined by the World Heavyweight Title clash between Gunther and Randy Orton.

The fourth major match, not yet announced but was confirmed to us, is C.M. Punk vs. Drew McIntyre in a strap match.

Despite the plans for a rematch, the feud between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre looks set to continue following reports they’ll meet again in October. The report claimed the pair will square off inside Hell In A Cell at Bad Blood. Should WWE go down this path, the match will mirror the main event from the first-ever Bad Blood between The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels.

CM Punk Set For Major Role In NXT

Meanwhile, Shawn Michaels has hyped up CM Punk’s return to NXT on October 1st. The episode will be the first broadcast on the CW Network and will come live from the All State Arena in Chicago.

Micheals steered clear of giving any real details but said Punk would “be playing a major role,” before teasing more surprises.

During a recent interview, NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez heaped praise on CM Punk and his desire to help the next generation.
