WWE: Steve Austin Possibly Not Appearing At Next Week’s Raw From Dallas?
WWE announced a few weeks ago that WWE legends Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, Brock Lesnar, Steve Austin and The Undertaker will all be at the 10/19 Raw from Dallas, Texas, the go home show for the Hell In A Cell PPV emanating from the Staples Center, Los Angeles.
Austin was also announced that on the same night he would be interviewing Brock for the Stone Cold Live podcast for the WWE Network as well as the appearance on Raw itself.
But confusion has arisen after Steve Austin wasn’t mentioned on the below tweet that WWE put out during last night’s Raw broadcast.

As you can see, it clearly states that Lesnar, Flair, Michaels and The Undertaker will be on Raw, but no mention of Austin.
Ski’s Take – As I’m writing this, it’s 10am UK time, and no announcement has been made by the WWE in relation to the tweet. So I’m thinking that Austin won’t actually be on Raw, but will stay behind the scenes and prep for his live interview with Brock, much like he did for the Edge and Christian interview he did last month. They were shown on screen with The New Day and The Dudley Boyz (still hate writing that with a z) in a backstage skit.
Or they could be keeping Austin from any promotion for Raw and make him appear unannounced for the expected huge crowd reaction. In my opinion, that is a rather strange business decision. Ratings are dropping like a stone, the usual TV fight against Monday Night Football is on and the company need to make as much noise as possible to claw back the lost viewership. They need to pull out the big guns, and Austin is one of, if not THE biggest gun that they possess.
Any ideas folks? What’s Vince and company thinking of in regards to this?
