WWE Stars Win The First Championship Of Their Career

Triple H WWE Titles

2 WWE stars have plenty of reason to celebrate after winning the first championship gold of their careers.

NXT Heatwave was headlined by Oba Femi successfully defending his NXT Championship against Je’Von Evans. Evans had earned the right to challenge for the gold just days before the title match by picking up a win over TNA World Champion Trick Williams.

There was not such good news for NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne, however, as she lost one of her titles on the show. Jayne put the TNA Knockouts Championship on the line against Ash By Elegance and Masha Slamovich. Jayne looked to have the match won before the Elegance Brand got involved, dragging her from the ring. That left Ash By Elegance to nail Slamovich with a swanton bomb to pick up the win and bring the TNA Knockouts Title home.

Heatwave also saw another title change as two WWE stars celebrated title success for the very first time.

DarkState Wins First WWE Gold

Hank Walker and Tank Ledger captured the NXT Tag Team Championship at Stand & Deliver from Fraxiom as Nathan Frazer and Axiom moved on to the WWE main roster. At Heatwave, they put the gold on the line against two stars from DarkState, which turned out to be Dion Lennox and Osiris Griffin.

DarkState’s numbers advantage proved to be decisive as Cutler James interfered, allowing Griffin and Lennox to hit the Doomsday Device on Tank to pick up the win and with it, the NXT Tag Team Championship.

The win is even more significant considering that the match was only Griffin’s eighth televised NXT match of his career.
