Several WWE Stars Unhappy Following Recent Event

Shawn Michaels Triple H in WWE

Not everyone went home happy after a recent WWE event.

On June 9th, WWE held NXT Battleground at the UFC Apex as the relationship between the two companies continued to expand.

While there’s always a keen sense of intrigue around events featuring WWE’s next generation, this particular PLE has taken on extra significance in recent weeks.

Not only did former AEW star Ethan Page make his in-ring WWE debut in the main event, but TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace challenged Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Title. The crossover in particular has got fans talking as the relationship between the two promotions is expected to continue in the coming weeks.

But while the event was seen as a success by most fans, not everyone involved was completely impressed.

According to a report from Wrestle Votes, a “handful” of Superstars were unhappy at the lack of space around the ring, although thankfully, it didn’t cause any issues on the night.

While thankfully nothing came of it, I’m told a handful of Superstars were unhappy with the floor spacing around the ring last night at the UFC Apex for Battleground. It was noticeably tighter than at standard WWE/NXT events.

WWE Crowns First-Ever Women’s North American Champion

In the opening match of the night, Kelani Jordan emerged from a six-woman Ladder Match to be crowned the first-ever NXT Women’s North American Champion.

Unsurprisingly, the match was a wild affair from start to finish, with ladders and bodies broken, but Jordan managed to pick her way through the madness to make history. The new title was announced back at Stand & Deliver, with new signing Giulia watching on from the crowd.

The former STARDOM star is expected to land in NXT in the coming weeks.
