WWE Star’s Shock Title Switch Rejected By Company

One WWE star has handed over their title belt but now the company involved has taken issue and declared the championship vacant.

WWE Superstar Omos made his Pro-Wrestling NOAH debut at the company’s New Year’s Day show in Tokyo. During the show, the star was unveiled as the mystery tag team partner of Fife’s own Jack Morris and the pair quickly won the GHC Tag Team Championships with a win over Naomichi Marufuji and Takashi Sugiura.

During an event in Osaka on January 25th, the giant star announced his intention to return to WWE while handing his championship belt to Team 2000X stablemate Daga:

I’m going back to WWE so I’ll give this belt to Daga. Please increase the value of this belt. The champs are now Jack Morris & Daga. I don’t know when but I’ll come back.

But Pro Wrestling NOAH has said not so fast.

Omos’ WWE Return Leads To Vacant Title

Pro Wrestling NOAH revealed on social media that they will not recognise Omos handing the title over to Daga and instead, the GHC Tag Team Championship is now vacant:

In the GHC Tag Team match on January 25, the champions Jack Morris & Omos defended their titles. Omos handed his title to Daga but this transfer will not be recognised and the titles will be declared vacant.
