WWE Stars Told Not To Hit Chelsea Green’s Face At Royal Rumble

WWE star Chelsea Green

Chelsea Green was a part of the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble. She entered the high-intensity battle with a pre-existing facial injury and took an unusual step to protect herself in front of the live crowd.

The WWE star shared on the “WWE Unreal” docuseries that she entered the match with a badly cracked nose and a busted lip. She feared she might need surgery if she sustained further damage to her face. Therefore, she asked her fellow competitors to take extra caution and avoid hitting her in the face during the chaotic contest.

Chelsea Green: “We do not need another surgery”

Chelsea Green opened up about her condition in the new Netflix docuseries, released on July 29, drawing back the curtain on the challenges of competing while injured.

” A week ago [A week before Royal Rumble], I took kind of a spill in the ring. The very first spot, me going into the ring, the bottom rope busted my lip, busted my nose. So, I’ve got a cracked nose on this side here. I’ve got bruising all the way up underneath my mouth, all the way to inside of my nose,” Green explained candidly.

“But if I get hit in the nose, I have to go into surgery. So, we’re protecting it. We’re protecting the nose. We do not need another surgery. We’re just gonna stay clear of this side. We’ve told the girls, ‘Do not go near this side of my face.'”

Despite her injury, Chelsea Green delivered a memorable performance by eliminating both B-Fab and Lash Legend before being accidentally eliminated by her own ally, Piper Niven. Even while managing pain, she played her part seamlessly in the high-stakes melee.

For those who missed the event, Charlotte Flair entered at #27 and ultimately won the Royal Rumble, although she failed to capture the championship at WrestleMania 41 against Tiffany Stratton.
