WWE Stars Capture AAA Gold

Wrestling in 2025 continues to be a wild ride as WWE stars have now captured AAA gold.

It was a tough night for TNA when Joe Hendry lost the TNA World Championship to Trick Williams at Battleground. This marked the first time that a WWE contracted star had captured TNA’s biggest prize. But the surprises continue at pace with AAA now feelings the effects.

WWE announced it had bought Mexican promotion AAA over WrestleMania 41 weekend, although the deal will be made official later in 2025. Despite that, changes have already taken place with WWE stars appearing on AAA shows, including Triplemania Regia on June 15th.

Los Garza Bring AAA Title To WWE

That show saw Moose successfully defend the TNA X-Division Title in a four-way match against El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr, El Mesias, and Joe Hendry. The massively popular Mr. Iguana was also in action on the winning side in a six-man tag team match.

In the bout for the AAA Tag Team Championship, AAA, WWE, and TNA were all represented as Nueva Generacion Dinamita put the gold on the line against Pagano & Psycho Clown, Nic & Ryan Nemeth, and Los Garza. By the end of the night, Berto and Angel captured the win to bring the AAA Tag Team Championship to WWE.
