WWE Stars Banned From Wearing R-Truth Shirts

R-Truth

WWE introduced a strict policy on R-Truth ahead of Raw.

On June 1, R-Truth announced he had been released by WWE. It was later clarified that the star will be leaving the company when his contract expires.

The star began his second run with WWE back in 2008, and he went on to become one of the most beloved stars on the roster, despite his limited screen time. Truth’s release was met with shock and dismay backstage, with several other Superstars feeling they could be next out the door.

His departure was followed by the news that Carlito and Valhalla will also be leaving the company.

No R-Truth T-Shirts On WWE Raw

On the June 2 episode of Monday Night Raw, fans repeatedly chanted Truth’s name, and the scene was repeated during NXT 24 hours later. However, other WWE talents were unable to show their support as they’ve done for others in the past.

As reported by Wrestle Votes during a Q&A, management didn’t want talents wearing R-Truth merchandise on Raw.

“Yeah, we’ve seen it in the past. Guys get hurt, people move on, you see one of their shirts snuck in. That happened last night with Carlito, Dominik Mysterio had a Carlito shirt on on TV. But supposedly they didn’t want any R-Truth shirts being worn by talent last night [on Raw].”

It’s been reported that R-Truth had “been around a long time and was making a lot of money,” so the company decided to move him on.
