WWE Star Would Love One More Moment With John Cena

John Cena you cant see me

The stars are lining up for John Cena.

After John Cena announced at Money in the Bank that he’ll be retiring in 2025, wrestlers across the world have been making their case for one more match with the 16-time World Champion.

The latest name to throw their name into contention is The Miz who has battled Cena several times over the years. Miz is currently enjoying the spotlight as he celebrates 20 years in WWE, after spending much of his career trying to prove that he belongs.

In a new interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Miz recalled his reaction to hearing Cena was retiring.

“When I heard him say he was retiring at the end of next year, I had mixed emotions. I’m proud that I’ve been able to share the ring with him and learn from him. I’m still using what I’ve learned from him in and out of the ring. I’m also sad. This is it,”

Miz went on to describe Cena as the “greatest of all time,” admitting sharing the ring with him is “unlike anything else.” The former World Champion added that he’d love to share one more moment with his one-time rival.

“I would love one more moment with him. We were rivals for so long, and just this past WrestleMania, the day after, I’m tagging with John Cena doing the ‘You can’t see me’ and giving AA’s to people. I never thought I’d ever do that. It’s interesting to be a good guy now. I’m not used to it, I’m not comfortable with people cheering me, but I’m embracing it,”

WWE Hall Of Famer Wants John Cena Rematch

Meanwhile, Rob Van Dam recently revealed he’d also love to get back in the ring with John Cena one more time.

During a recent episode of his podcast, Van Dam said he’s hoping WWE brings him in to recreate his famous ECW One Night Stand 2006 match with the WWE legend. On that unforgettable night at the Hammerstein Ballroom, Van Dam pinned Cena to become the WWE Champion for the first and only time in his career.

While discussing a potential WWE comeback the star he’s confident he’d be able to have exactly the same match 18 years on.
