WWE Star Offers Worrying Apology After Raw Scolding
One WWE star has apologised after being berated by someone who was supposed to be their partner on Raw.
Sami Zayn ended the historic Intercontinental Title reign of Gunther at WrestleMania 40 in one of the biggest wins of his career. But as champion, there is never too long to celebrate in WWE and on Raw in Montreal, Zayn had his first defence of the gold against Chad Gable.
That match took place in Sami Zayn’s hometown of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Zayn entered the arena through the crowd to a raucous reception and the two men put on a wrestling clinic. Ultimately, Sami Zayn picked up the win to retain his gold.
Gable raised Sami Zayn’s hand after the match but as the champion hugged his wife at ringside, Gable snatched him with a vicious German suplex as he turned on the star. Chad Gable followed that up with a sickening ankle lock through the ropes as the crowd showered him boos.
Akira Tozawa Sorry After Upsetting WWE Raw Appearance
On the 22nd of April edition of Raw, a changed Gable addressed the rest of his Alpha Academy, berating them in turn for their lack of success. He warned Akira Tozawa, Maxxine Dupri, and Otis that their only goal now was to help him become WWE Intercontinental Champion “no matter what.”
Taking to social media, Akira Tozawa has commented on the heartbreaking situation, writing:
I am good for nothing.. Sorry

While Chad Gable is sticking with Alpha Academy for now, it seems WWE might have plans for a new heel faction to give Gable the backup he so badly wants.
