Top WWE Star Won’t Return Before WrestleMania 40

Fans shouldn’t expect to see one Superstar in action before WrestleMania.

AJ Styles has enjoyed a relatively quiet start to 2024 wrestling just five times on television since the turn of the year. But that doesn’t mean he hasn’t made his presence felt.

At the Royal Rumble, Styles failed to win the Undisputed WWE Universal Title in a Fatal-Four-Way Match and subsequently lost a qualifier for Elimination Chamber via a distraction from LA Knight. In an act of revenge, AJ Styles broke into the structure mid-match at the event in Australia and attacked Knight with a chair causing him to be eliminated.

The tension has continued to simmer in the weeks since and Knight challenged Styles to a match at WrestleMania on the March 15th edition of SmackDown. Styles accepted the match after hitting Knight with a chair yet again.

In a clip later posted to social media, Styles said Knight can keep looking for him but he won’t be at SmackDown for three weeks — but he will be at WrestleMania.

WWE Adds More Matches To WrestleMania 40

On SmackDown, two more matches were confirmed for WrestleMania 40.

Logan Paul will defend the United States Title in a Triple Threat Match against Kevin Owens and Randy Orton with both challengers dying to get their hands on the champion.

Meanwhile, Jimmy Uso accepted the challenge laid down by his brother Jey on Raw, setting up the Brother vs. Brother clash in Philadelphia.
