WWE has been throwing curve balls towards the fans in recent times. Lately, the hype has been around R-Truth reinventing himself as Ron Killings, after being hired back within a week of being released.

The WWE veteran was released after he refused to agree to a new contract with a lower pay. Fans were livid after knowing that the wrestling juggernaut had let him go, and chanted for him during the weekly shows.

He returned to WWE TV at Money in the Bank 2025, but this time as Ron Killings. The clause to use his real-name for his final WWE run is something the veteran asked for WWE to put in his contract.

WWE will ensure to benefit from Ron Killings’ current hype

R-Truth cut a fiery promo on RAW, where he cut off his hair and invented himself as Ron Killings. He claimed that R-Truth was forgiving, but Killings is not. Fans loved the new character and cannot wait to see what WWE has in store for the veteran.

During a conversation with Coach, Tommy Carlucci gave his opinion on Ron Killings’ WWE future, claiming that the veteran could actually win the men’s Royal Rumble in 2026.

Ron Killings inventing himself is one of the best things that happened was his entrance. He bore guarded, jumped over the railing, came on to the announce table. It wasn’t a regular music entrance.. His promo was incredible. He is going to reinvent himself. He is going to get a big push, and I also said this Monday and I don’t know how true it is. Maybe he will be big part of John Cena turning back to babyface, just talking to him and stuff. But, I, you know, I could see him winning the Royal Rumble. I could see that happening.

It is going to be iconic if he wins the 2026 Royal Rumble, and has his final match at WrestleMania.
