Top WWE Star Will Allegedly Interfere In John Cena Vs. CM Punk
CM Punk may have more problems at Night of Champions.
CM Punk and John Cena will clash for the WWE Title at Night of Champions. However, another former world champion will make his presence felt to cost Punk his chance to win gold.
On Notsam Wrestling, Sam Roberts spoke about the upcoming WWE Championship match between John Cena and CM Punk. According to Roberts, Seth Rollins will get involved in the match to ensure Punk doesn’t get his hands on the title.
“I think Seth Rollins will be involved. I think the idea of CM Punk in a WWE Championship Match, Seth Rollins has made it clear on RAW that he was going after both titles. He wants all the gold, he wants all the power. So the idea that not only is the title on the line, but Seth Rollins’ worst enemy, the whole reason he created this group to stop a guy like CM Punk from being the guy who is in charge of this place, is getting the match with John Cena. I think Seth Rollins is going to do whatever he can to make sure that doesn’t happen.”[27:36 – 28:17]
John Cena To Face Ron Killings Ahead Of Clash With CM Punk
On SmackDown, John Cena was attacked by Ron Killings twice. The General Manager of the show, Nick Aldis, had had enough of the chaos and decided to book a rematch between the two for the upcoming episode of the Blue Brand. The match will mark The Last Real Champion’s first match on SmackDown since 2022.
Last weekend, Ron Killings returned to WWE at Money In The Bank within a week after he was let go by the company. At the PLE, he blindsided John Cena and helped Cody Rhodes pin the WWE Champion. Even though their upcoming match on SmackDown is a non-title one, CM Punk will have his eyes glued and look for weaknesses in his next opponent.
