WWE Star Wanted Seth Rollins Brutality To Be Their Debut Moment

Seth Rollins makes entrance at WWE SummerSlam

Bronson Reed was hoping for a moment like his attack on Seth Rollins when he returned to WWE.

On August 5th, Bronson Reed shocked the world when he viciously assaulted Seth Rollins, delivering six Tsunamis to The Visionary and leaving him spitting up blood. The attack has helped cement Reed as a dominant force in WWE, and it was a move he hoped would happen much sooner.

Speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Reed admitted that he had hoped for something equally impactful when he returned to WWE on the main roster in 2022.

“I was hoping for this when I first debuted to be honest, and that’s nothing against the way I came back to WWE – I came back and I helped The Miz win his match, I think he was feuding with Dexter (Lumis) at the time. But I feel like what I did with Seth was how I should have debuted.”

Although he thinks his debut could have been something more, Reed understands why it happened the way it did.

“I’d been rehired, they wanna use me, they don’t really know what to do with me, so they sort of just rush something and put you in something, so you’re at least on TV and they can start to establish you and stuff. But I think the best way to do things is just to make them impactful.

“I did something similar to what I did with Seth with TNA when I went there, IMPACT Wrestling, I attacked Josh Alexander on my first night.

“I only gave him three Tsunamis (laughs), but it was enough to be like, ‘Oh my god, this guy’s an instant threat against one of the main guys here in TNA, what’s he gonna do?’. I think that’s sort of what I should have done in my debut with WWE. But, that’s out of my control, so.

“That’s nothing against the people I worked with like I said – The Miz is incredible, I’ve learned stuff from him the last couple of years, especially with promos. I’ve been able to do some promos with him and he’s like a master at that stuff.”

Since returning on September 30th, Seth Rollins has made it clear he wants revenge on Bronson Reed and is just waiting for him to name the time and the place.

Bronson Reed’s Assault On Seth Rollins More Brutal Than Planned

During the same interview, Bronson Reed revealed that his attack on Seth Rollins went on longer than planned. According to Reed, there were meant to be “significantly less” Tsunamis, but the reaction of the audience led to the assault being extended.
