WWE Star Talks Vince McMahon’s Return – “We’re All Trying To Remain Optimistic”
A current WWE Superstar has given their thoughts on Vince McMahon returning to the company and says the locker room is “trying to remain optimistic.”
WWE got off to a turbulent 2023 with Vince McMahon forcing his way back onto the Board of Directors before being installed as the company’s Executive Chairman. McMahon is believed to be back to help oversee rights deals as well as a potential sale of WWE, but many in the company feel the “countdown is on” before McMahon is back overseeing the creative direction of the promotion.
Speaking to the San Antonio Express-News ahead of the 2023 Royal Rumble which will take place in the Alamodome, Karrion Kross talked about Vince McMahon’s return to WWE and says that from his point of view, nobody is afraid for their job:
“It’s in my news feeds, it’s everywhere. It’s inescapable at this point. But the people that I have spoken to about it, like my personal friends in the business, no one’s really concerned or afraid for their job. All of us are ready to adapt…. I think everyone’s just taking it day by day to see where everything lands, and we’re all trying to remain optimistic.”
Karrion Kross was one of the dozens of stars originally released from their WWE contracts under Vince McMahon’s management. Kross and his wife Scarlett were among the first to return to WWE following Triple H’s ascent to the top job in the company.
