WWE Star Confirms “Very Juicy Offer” From Rival Company

Triple H WWE Tony Khan AEW

A rival company attempted to land a recent WWE signing.

Off the back of losing to Mercedes Mone at Forbidden Door, CMLL announced that Stephanie Vaquer would be leaving the company. Just hours later, it was announced that the star had signed with WWE.

The move caught many by surprise given Vaquer’s appearances in AEW. However, it quickly became apparent that the Tony Khan-led company had tried to secure a deal.

Following her signing, it was reported that WWE had given Stephanie Vaquer a “tremendous contract” in response to an offer she’d received from AEW.

Stephanie Vaquer Reflects On Joining WWE

In a new interview with Noticias 24, Vaquer opened up about her decision to join WWE, while confirming she was made a big offer from a different company.

“I’ll be very honest. Since I was a child, my dream was to sign for WWE,” Stephanie Vaquer said. “But you grow up, you can’t be guided by the dreams you had when you were 9 years old. When I did what I did in Mexico and Japan, I had already fulfilled a dream. I was missing this extra.

Not everything is money. I received another very juicy offer financially. To be a complete wrestler, I was missing being in WWE. I came to NXT because it was the best women’s division in existence.”

Vaquer will be back in action at Deadline where she’ll take part in the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge. The star earned her spot in the match with a win over Jaida Parker on November 19th.

At present Sol Ruca, Giulia, and Zaria have also qualified for the match, with one more NXT star to be added. The winner will earn a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship which is currently held by Roxanne Perez.
