WWE Star Undergoes Surgery
NXT star Cora Jade has undergone surgery after an injury that will leave her out of action for up to a year.
After a four-month absence, the star returned to WWE at NXT Deadline and attacked Lyra Valkyria. She returned to the ring on December 12th, teaming with Blair Davenport to defeat Valkyria and Nikkita Lyons and then on January 9th scored a big win over Gigi Dolin.
However, on January 12th, Cora Jade suffered an injury to her knee at an NXT live event while facing Valkyria for the Women’s Title. The pair’s match was called off and Jade attended to by trainers. WWE later confirmed that Jade had torn her ACL and could be out of action for up to a year.

Before her injury, Cora Jade was due to take part in a twenty-woman battle royal to determine the new number one contender for the NXT Women’s Championship. That bout was won by Jade’s former partner Roxanne Perez, who will now face Lyra Valkyria at Vengeance Day on February 4th in Clarksville, Tennessee.
