Xavier Woods eats up another Mexican Destroyer on WWE RAW.

Penta executed his infamous Mexican Destroyer on Xavier Woods during their singles match on August 18, 2025, on Monday Night RAW. This caused a neck injury for Woods. The move left The New Day member visibly shaken, and he even appeared in a neck brace and spoke about his pain and frustration on social media.

Woods even blamed WWE management and Adam Pearce for his injury, accusing them of negligence and singling out Pearce for allowing the banned maneuver to occur. Woods stated the RAW General Manager had his masked mercenary attack him in an attempt to break all the bones in his neck, all because he didn’t want to allow The New Day to have their much-deserved rematch for the Tag Team Championship. He compared his treatment to other superstars, who received immediate medical attention, expressing anger over being left without support or care.

“The most influential WWE superstar would think that my health and well-being would be more of a priority, but I’ll tell you why it’s not. Adam Pierce sent his masked mercenary to attempt to shatter every bone in my neck, all because he doesn’t want to give the New Day our well-deserved rematch for the Tag Team Championship,” Woods complained.

Penta Strikes Again on WWE RAW

Despite concerns, Woods was in action on Monday Night RAW on September 1, 2025, teaming with Kofi Kingston and Grayson Waller against Penta and the War Raiders. In the six-man tag match, Penta once again targeted Woods’ neck and delivered another Mexican Destroyer to secure a pinfall victory over his opponents.

After the show, Woods addressed Penta, putting him through another Mexican destroyer. He publicly accused Penta of deliberately trying to end his career and called out his rival for making his and his team’s life hell.

“Woods tweeted, My neck feels like its hanging on by a thread after @PENTAELZEROM again tried to end my career. MIND YOU HE IS PUTTING US THROUGH THIS HELL WHILE WE ARE GRIEVING!!”
