WWE Star In Title Match After Contract End Date

Chad Gable is one angry man and despite his WWE contract coming to an end imminently, he’s been confirmed for a huge title match.

Chad Gable finally snapped after he was unable to defeat Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship in Zayn’s hometown of Montreal. Gable has shown a new side of himself in recent weeks as the supportive leader of Alpha Academy has turned into a dictator, berating Otis, Akira Tozawa, and Maxxine Dupri and demanding they help him capture the title no matter what.

On Raw in Hershey, PA, Alpha Academy – minus Gable – were sending a message to Sami Zayn in the ring. However, Chad Gable’s plan soon became clear as he attacked the WWE Intercontinental Champion from behind. Crucially before that attack, Sami Zayn agreed to put his title on the line against Gable at Clash at the Castle on June 15th. And it’s that date that has raised eyebrows.

Chad Gable’s WWE Deal Ends Before Title Match

Fightful Select has reported that Chad Gable’s current WWE contract is set to end on Friday, the 7th of June. There has been no public confirmation that Gable and WWE have agreed a new deal but Chad Gable is said to have considerable leverage that has now got even bigger after agreeing to the title match.

Whoever emerges from Clash at the Castle as Intercontinental Champion could well give an indication to what Gable’s future in WWE could be.
