Huge WWE Star Expected To Lose First Title Match In 7 Years At Clash In Paris
Nikki Bella is set to have her first championship match in seven years. She last challenged Ronda Rousey for the RAW Women’s Championship at a WWE Live House Show in Rome, Italy, on November 10, 2018.
Bella made a notable return to the Stamford-based promotion at the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble, ending a three-year hiatus from in-ring competition. Since then, she has steadily re-established herself on WWE programming, particularly on RAW, where she has reignited her in-ring career. This return set the stage for a fresh feud with the reigning Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch.
The rivalry gained momentum on the August 4, 2025, episode of Raw, where Lynch took subtle but sharp jabs at Bella, taunting her with references to past relationships and calling her out publicly. Bella responded confidently, mocking Lynch, leading to a fiery verbal exchange that culminated in a confrontational but entertaining promo segment.
The feud has resulted in a highly anticipated clash set for Clash in Paris, where Nikki Bella will challenge The Man for the women’s IC title. While the former Divas Champion is optimistic about winning her first title after her WWE return, wrestling analyst Sam Roberts believes Bella will not walk home with gold on the night of August 31, 2025.
Sam Roberts Predicts Loss for Nikki Bella at WWE Clash in Paris
Speaking on his Notsam Wrestling podcast, Sam Roberts discussed the amazing lineup Triple H and his creative team have designed for the upcoming premium live event in Paris, France. While doing so, he discussed the Nikki Bella vs. Becky Lynch bout for the Intercontinental Championship and predicted that Big Time Becks will retain her championship.
Becky Lynch versus Nikki Bella in a match that, you know, I don’t think Nikki Bella leaves with the Intercontinental Championship. I don’t think most people think that Nikki Bella leaves with the Intercontinental Championship. But the question has been much like it was with Rusev, what is Nikki Bella’s intention? Why is Nikki Bella back?
Roberts also questioned Bella’s intention of returning to WWE, despite having a successful and stable career outside the Stamford-based promotion, which has been a genuine question on the minds of many fans. Bella put an end to those questions in an interview with The Takedown on SI, where she explained that her WWE comeback wasn’t about taking someone else’s position but rather helping the women’s division and earning her own spot after years of in-ring inactivity.
“I’m really here to give my equity to others. I know I’m not gonna be here forever. Maybe that’s only gonna be a year, maybe it’s gonna be a few months, who knows? But I really just wanted to help out, and I wanted to just earn my spot again.”
