WWE Star Thrilled With “Fantastic” AEW Feud

One WWE star has admitted they were a big fan of one AEW feud that took the wrestling world by storm.

NXT was recently injected with a dose of glamour as the former Mariah May made her debut on the brand following her time in AEW coming to an end.

May is now known as Blake Monroe, and she is already set for a big match at NXT Great American Bash, where she teams with Jordynne Grace against Fatal Influence.

During her time in AEW, she was involved with Timeless Toni Storm, with Monroe entering the company as a loyal acolyte of Storm before she viciously turned on her and the two traded the AEW Women’s Championship.

Natalya Speaks Highly Of AEW Feud Despite WWE Affiliation

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, WWE star Natalya spoke of her admiration of Blake Monroe and the work she did with Toni Storm in AEW:

I know I’ve worked with so many women from the ground up before they were ever stars. And I love when I see a passion and determination in them. I love the work that Blake Monroe did in AEW. I think it was fantastic.

I’ve said this before, but Toni Storm was one of my favorites. I love watching Toni shine and I love watching Toni do her thing.

And I think Blake and Toni’s story … (Blake) has definitely backed it up, and so now seeing her in WWE and seeing this new, this new side of her, of course, it’s an extension of what she’s been doing, but it’s exciting, it’s fresh, it’s fun.

Though, at the end of the day, WWE does stand for World Wrestling Entertainment, and at the end of the day, you need to be able to wrestle. Blake knows how to work. She knows how to wrestle.
