Rising WWE Star Thankful For “Influential” Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn is a valuable resource for WWE stars.

Throughout the second half of 2024, Bron Breakker repeatedly clashed with Sami Zayn as he looked to claim the Intercontinental Title.

In their first meeting at Money In The Bank, Zayn just about squeezed out a victory before losing the title to the second-generation star at SummerSlam. The pair met one more time that August on Raw in a Two-Out-Of-Three Falls match, but again it was Breakker who got the win.

Although Breakker later lost the title to Jey Uso, it wasn’t long before he won it back, and no one has been able to wrestle it from his grip since.

During an interview with Pubity, Breakker opened up about sharing the ring with Zayn, and how grateful he was to have the opportunity to learn from someone of that level.

“I thoroughly enjoyed working with Sami. I couldn’t have asked for a better superstar to be in there with to get me going as a main player on the main roster.

He’s extremely knowledgeable and influential. His career speaks for itself. He’s done so many great things, it’s crazy.

I’m extremely thankful for that opportunity that I had with him because, y’know, it’s Sami Zayn, you’re gonna be in there and you’re gonna be learning a lot. He has great matches with everybody. Super cool, man. If I ever get that opportunity again, it’ll be a great thing.”

Sami Zayn Challenged By Familiar Rival

While he might be highly thought of by Breakker, on television, Zayn was recently betrayed by one of his closest friends. Again.

On the February 3 edition of Raw, the former Intercontinental Champion was attacked by Kevin Owens who hit him with a Package Piledriver. The move has become Owens’ weapon of choice in recent months after also taking out Cody Rhodes, and Randy Orton as he looked for revenge.

With regard to Zayn, Owens was upset that his friend didn’t help him beat Rhodes at the Royal Rumble.

After Zayn said he was suffering from nerve damage as a result of the assault, Kevin Owens challenged him to show up at Elimination Chamber in Toronto, back where it all began.
