A massive current WWE Superstar might compete in his last SummerSlam this Sunday.

AJ Styles competed in multiple promotions before having a legendary career in TNA between 2002 and 2014. The Phenomenal One then joined WWE in 2016 and has since become one of the top superstars.

The 48-year-old is now a Grand Slam Champion after winning all available WWE titles. This Sunday, Styles will have the opportunity to add another championship to his tally when he challenges The Judgment Day’s Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Title at SummerSlam.

Ahead of the anticipated clash, the former WWE Champion dropped a massive retirement hint at the WWE SummerSlam Kickoff event. Styles stated that this SummerSlam could be his last.

If I’m being honest with you guys. This might be my last SummerSlam. So, I plan on tearing the house down one last time at SummerSlam for you guys. [H/T: Fightful]

WWE Star AJ Styles Won’t Be Wrestling At 50 Years Old

This is not the first time AJ Styles has hinted at retirement this year. Last March, the former champion opened up about the same in an interview with Chris Van Vliet on Insight.

The Phenomenal One promised that he would not wrestle at the age of 50. He just turned 48 last month.

That’s correct. I keep saying that. I’ve said this and said this, but I will not wrestle at 50, I promise you that. [H/T: Chris Van Vliet]

Cory Hays of BodySlam.net recently reported that AJ Styles is planning to retire in the Stamford-based company. It would be interesting to see if this would indeed be his last SummerSlam.
