Breaking: WWE Star Suffers Injury During Training
A WWE Superstar has suffered an injury and has been officially pulled from a title match.
Lainey Reid debuted in the Stamford-based company last year. While she has yet to hold a championship on NXT, the 5’6″ superstar has set her eyes on the Women’s Speed Championship, currently held by Sol Ruca.
In the first round of the latest Women’s Speed Championship #1 Contender’s tournament, Reed defeated Faby Apache in less than three minutes.
Although the Alabama native’s next opponent in the finals was the 39-year-old veteran Candice LeRae, she succeeded in beating her in two minutes and 24 seconds to earn a shot at the title at NXT No Mercy tonight at the FTL War Memorial in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
