Absent WWE Star Opens Up About Battle With Rare Health Condition
Omos faces various physical challenges in life.
At 7 ft 3 in and over 400 pounds, the WWE star’s struggles include having to buy expensive furniture and clothes that fit.
While speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, he recounts a life incident when he broke one of his best friends’ beds before being signed to WWE.
Omos also jokes about how he would be a multi-millionaire if he charged people for asking him how tall he is or if he plays in the NBA. He says that he experienced a tremendous growth spurt and was already 6’7 when he was thirteen.
The former WWE Tag Team Champion is a native of Lagos, Nigeria, and came to the United States at the age of 15. He is well-known for his association with AJ Styles and MVP and various feuds, including one with Bobby Lashley.
WWE’s Omos Speaks About Rare Health Condition
Omos opened up about his battle with acromegaly, from which the late Andre the Giant also suffered.
He was thankful to his doctor, who pointed out his abnormality during his college days in America. Omos also delved into what made his condition unique.
Mine is kind of unique, because I have acromegaly, I also have gigantism, just means that you just grow really, really tall, and I have what you call Partial Cushing’s disease. I don’t know how to explain, it’s kind of complicated, but I have all three combined, and it was the first time in endocrine history that they found a patient that has all three combined. So I’m a really, really rare case, to the point where they had a journal published about my case.
Omos clarified that he is pain-free and takes a medication that prevents his body from using growth hormones. He then spoke about the detection of a pituitary tumor at age 18, which the doctors removed.
Omos’ last WWE appearance was during the 2024 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
