WWE Star Takes Sneering Shot At Former Executive

WWE logo over blurred Vince McMahon Kevin Dunn

Kevin Dunn became synonymous with some questionable production before his WWE tenure came to an end and now he’s been openly mocked by one of the company’s stars.

The wrestling world was stunned when news broke that Kevin Dunn had quit WWE after almost forty years with the company. Dunn was hired by Vince McMahon in 1984 as their fathers had worked together and eventually, Dunn rose through the ranks to become WWE’s Executive Vice President, Television Production – a role he held for twenty years.

Dunn had been a polarising figure to wrestling fans over the years, with loud criticism heard over his number of camera cuts during WWE shows. Dunn had also felt some of the blame over some wrestlers not being pushed and he was not a fan of him – a famous example was Dunn apparently not being a fan of Becky Lynch’s accent during promos. Needless to say, this did not hold her back in the end.

WWE Pokes Fun At Kevin Dunn’s Camera Cuts

With Kevin Dunn now very much in the company’s past, one star has poked fun at his notorious camera cuts. NXT’s Edris Enofe took to social media in response to a clip of US President Joe Biden that featured 6 cuts in 13 seconds, writing:

kevin dunn has 24hrs to respond

WWE announced that Lee Fitting had joined the company in January 2024 as the new Head of Media & Production. Fitting was seen as the direct replacement for Kevin Dunn and fans have lauded the company’s new approach to TV including the long camera shots during entrances that won almost universal acclaim.
