WWE Star To Become “Significant Main Event Attraction” In 2025

Triple H WWE

Things are looking good for a star of WWE Raw.

During the second half of 2023, Drew McIntyre began to tweak his character and move on from being the pure babyface fans had come to love. This revolution saw the star adopt a meaner edge, and his thirst for the World Championship only grew.

While on his quest, McIntyre found himself in a heated rivalry with CM Punk that lasted for much of 2024 and ended in bloody chaos inside Hell in a Cell. But as he rides that wave of success, McIntyre’s star could be about to shine even brighter.

According to a report on Wrestle Votes Radio via SportsKeeda’s Backstage Pass Patreon, the focus will be on McIntyre going into 2025. While McIntyre is already a main event regular and undoubtedly a big star, there’s a feeling he’s on the verge of reaching the company’s upper echelon.

“So with the recent return of Drew McIntyre, we were told from a source that WWE feels as though McIntyre is on the cusp, if not already there, of becoming a quote, significant main event, upper echelon attraction, and they attribute some of this to his work over the last 10 months with CM Punk.

A source states that McIntyre’s viral comments on Busted Open Radio last week were not scripted in any way and that WWE loved the reaction to what went down. We are told McIntyre will be a huge focus as we head into 2025.”

Drew McIntyre Sets Sights On New WWE Rival

Meanwhile, Drew McIntyre has teased a new rivalry with Cody Rhodes. During a recent livestream, the star said any on-screen feud between the pair would be “significant” before somewhat ominously stating that feelings and bodies would be hurt.

Rhodes and McIntyre have wrestled just one televised singles match during their WWE careers with the Scottish star getting the win following involvement from The Bloodline.

Drew McIntyre returns to the ring on the December 23rd edition of Raw. With the show being taped in advance, you can find the full list of spoilers by clicking the link.
