WWE Star Shockingly Returns To SmackDown After A Year, New Alliance Revealed

A 28-year-old WWE star has made their return to SmackDown after a year of absence.

Tonight on SmackDown, Charlotte Flair went head-to-head with Nia Jax a week after The Queen’s tag team partner, Alexa Bliss, defeated The Irresistible Force on the blue brand.

The match went back and forth between the Women’s Tag Team Champion and the former WWE Women’s Champion. However, the turning point came from outside the ring when Lash Legend shockingly appeared through the crowd to attack Bliss.

Legend was last seen on the blue brand about a year ago when she competed in a Triple Threat match against Piper Niven and Michin in the tournament meant to crown the inaugural Women’s United States Champion.

The distraction allowed Jax to deliver the Annihilator on The Queen to pick up the victory. She and Legend then left together, taunting the Women’s Tag Team Champions.

Nia Jax & Lash Legend Confirm Their Alliance On WWE SmackDown

After the match, Nia Jax and Lash Legend spoke to Cathy Kelley. The Irresistible Force claimed she would have beaten Charlotte Flair without the help of the former NXT star.

Meanwhile, Jax mocked the Women’s Tag Team Champions while addressing her alliance with Legend.

You know, teaming up with Lash was so hard. You know, because we’re not really friends. We’re more like allies (mocking Bliss and Flair). Alexa And Charlotte said I needed to find a friend and the joke is on them. I found a friend. I had a friend. I faced Lash on NXT and she’s a formidable adversary. And I know she’s a bada**. That’s why she’s my friend. And can Alexa or Charlotte say that their friend is a former NCAA world record holder?

Legend then introduced herself, promising that she and Jax are going straight to the top.
