WWE Star Makes Shock Raw Return After 10 Months

WWE fans watching Raw got a surprise they hadn’t bargained for when one star returned to the show after ten months out of action.

On Raw in Greensboro, a huge number one contender’s match took place as four teams did battle to become the next challengers to the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship currently held by Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill.

Maxxine Dupri & Ivy Nile, Katana Chance & Kayden Carter, Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark, and Damage CTRL’s Dakota Kai & Kairi Sane had their opportunity to stake their claim for tag team gold but in the end, it was Baszler and Stark that came out on top.

Later in the show, Baszler and Stark were surprisingly confronted backstage by Sonya Deville. Deville has been missing from TV for ten months due to injury but it seemed she wanted to offer a proposal to the new number one contenders. However, Baszler dismissed Deville without hearing her out.

Why Has Sonya Deville Been Missing From WWE?

On the 17th of July 2023, Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship from Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. However, in her very next match, Sonya Deville suffered a torn ACL which required surgery keeping her out of the ring.

Green replaced Deville as her partner with Piper Niven but they ultimately lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title in December 2023 to Katana Chance and Kayden Carter.
