WWE Star To Miss Several Months Following Surgery

A WWE Raw star has undergone surgery.

On the July 8th episode of Raw, Pete Dunne returned to action on the red brand as he took on Bronson Reed.

When all was said and done it was Reed who picked up the win, but it quickly became apparent holding bragging rights just wasn’t enough. The Aussie super-heavyweight continued to attack Dunne after the match with Sheamus running in to make the save — not that Dunne seemed especially happy to see him.

Dunne’s regular tag team partner Tyler Bate was missing in action, with Michael Cole noting on commentary that the star would be “out of action for a bit” with an undisclosed injury.

Tyler Bate Added To WWE Injury List

In a post on Instagram, Bate has now confirmed he’s going to be gone for “some time” after undergoing surgery following a major pectoral injury.

Tore my left pectoral major & tendon off the bone last week at NXT. Surgery yesterday was successful and all has been put back where it belongs. I’ll be gone for some time while I recover, try not to miss me too much.

I’m in good spirits and looking forward to seeing you all again soon, lots of love,

Bate sustained the injury while teaming with Pete Dunne on the July 2nd episode of NXT in a match against Hank & Tank.
