Popular WWE Star Set For Major TNA Appearance
A WWE star has been confirmed to appear in TNA soon.
Joe Hendry, who officially signed with the Stamford-based company in November, was a full-time Total Nonstop Action superstar and has even served as the promotion’s World Champion in the past.
Since then, Hendry has competed in one match on the main roster, defeating The Miz in a Miracle On 34th Street Fight bout on the December 26 episode of SmackDown.
TNA has now confirmed a special appearance from the Scottish wrestler at the upcoming Genesis pay-per-view on January 17.
This further confirms the healthy ongoing relationship between WWE and TNA, which began through a multi-year partnership deal in January 2025.
The TNA Genesis card is stacked and offers thorough entertainment for fans.
TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater will defend his championship in a triple threat match against Moose and Cedric Alexander.
Elijah, who is returning from an injury, will face Mustafa Ali in a singles match.
A retirement match featuring JDC vs. Eddie Edwards is also scheduled, with the former putting his career on the line.
Either Frank Kazarian or Mike Santana will defend the TNA World Championship against Nic Nemeth.
Joe Hendry Competed At WWE WrestleMania 41
Even before becoming a full-time WWE star, Joe Hendry made his WrestleMania debut in 2025.
The initial bout featured Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens, who, unfortunately, had been dealing with a neck injury and was forced to back out.
As a result, Orton had issued an open challenge to anyone willing to step into the ring with him.
While The Viper stood in the ring awaiting his opponent, Joe Hendry’s music hit to a loud pop from the Las Vegas audience.
The match was short-lived as it went just over 3 minutes, with the wily veteran sneaking an RKO for the victory. After the match, Orton celebrated with the Scot before hitting another RKO on him.
