Popular WWE Star Allegedly Set For Shocking Heel Turn

A female WWE star may be set for a heel turn.

Lyra Valkyria is at the peak of her wrestling career and is involved in a three-way feud with Bayley and the women’s Intercontinental Champion, Becky Lynch.

On the July 14 episode of RAW, she faced Bayley in a 2 out of 3 falls match.

Bayley, being the experienced wrestler and having returned to WWE a few weeks ago, was expected to win the bout, but to everyone’s surprise, Valkyria triumphed despite losing the first fall.

This was a clear indication of where the Stamford-based company is headed with the Irish star.

Internet personality Sam Roberts of NotSam Wrestling discussed Lyra on his recent podcast and shared that she might be booked as a heel in the near future.

There’s just something about this whole thing that makes me feel like at the end of the day, Lyra’s turning heel. And Lyra and Becky are gonna be on the same side at the end of the day. [32:42 onwards]

Lyra Valkyria To Face Becky Lynch At WWE SummerSlam

Thanks to her victory on RAW, Lyra Valkyria will now challenge Becky Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship at ‘the Greatest Party of the Summer.’

The Irish pair won the women’s tag team titles when Lynch returned after an 11-month break at WrestleMania 41, but Lynch turned on her partner after they lost the belts just 24 hours later.

The women’s IC Championship was unveiled in November 2024, and it was followed by a month-long tournament to determine the inaugural champion.

Valkyria defeated Dakota Kai on the January 13, 2025, RAW episode to become the first women’s IC Champion.

During their rivalry, Lynch challenged her compatriot at the WWE Money in the Bank PLE for the title, which she won and has held ever since.
